Background:

Born in northern Bavaria, Frankonia, for many years now I live with my family in Munich. Over 20 years I worked in international companies of the computer, telecommunication and solar energy industry – managing projects and leading local and virtual teams in the areas of Supply Chain and Logistics. I have worked with many cross-cultural, cross-functional teams and I enjoy thinking out of the box and working in teams to deliver successful solutions for the business.

A change process is successful if targeted and holistic planning is applied from the beginning.
The project is designed such that tasks are distributed correctly, responsibilities are allocated
and decision making processes are clearly defined.

Together we analyse the initial situation and clarify the scope. What change will take place, what the role of the change consultant
and what the change principles will be. Hard and soft fact will be considered in order to understand all stakeholders and their requirements.

 

Management of Participation

The success of a change project rises with the degree of involvement of the stakeholders at an early stage.
Development of a participation model is key to success. I support you setting up an active dialogue and organizing the collaboration process.

In the beginning is the team. In each phase of the project and each step of a change process the team plays a vital role. Success is mainly driven by the way people communicate in groups, how they solve conflicts and are committed to joint efforts.

Therefore, at the start of each project and each transformation process, it is important to take the team along and put them on the right track.

By using various methods of team development successful teamwork can be achieved. Staff from different organizations, new members or project veterans, stakeholders having other cultural backgrounds will be able to work effectively together.

Team Coaching is clarifying many situations which appear complicated and at a dead-end. It brings back the fun of working together towards the same target and successful project execution proves the team right.

This is the result of a GPM (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e.V.) study from 2008.

As project manager you have significant influence on all of the stated factors. You have the overall responsibility and a key role in the entire system. You should always have a clear understanding of the project target and the stakeholders involved, be close to the project team, communicating regularly and effectively.
